In 14 games last season, Paysinger made 15 tackles on special teams and 10 on defense. He was in his first season with the Dolphins after spending four years with the New York Giants, for whom he won a Super Bowl ring after the 2011 season.

Paysinger, 27, has 105 career tackles in 76 games (14 starts).

Thomas, 28, didn't play in the NFL last year after the Chicago Bears released him on Aug. 30. He was a Dolphin from 2011-14, appearing in 52 games (three starts) and producing 1,480 yards and 10 touchdowns on 409 carries.

Pead, 26, appeared in two games for the St. Louis Rams last year, gaining 3 yards on two carries and losing a fumble. The Rams released in during the season and he was on the Pittsburgh Steelers' roster for three weeks but did not get into a game.
