Indianapolis Colts add Robert Turbin to backfield

The Indianapolis Colts reached a contract agreement on Tuesday with unrestricted free agent running back Robert Turbin.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed by the team. Frank Gore is currently the only other veteran running back on the Colts' roster.

Turbin spent time with the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns last season.

In three games for the Browns, Turbin rushed for 60 yards on 18 carries and added two catches for 8 yards before he was waived Nov. 10.

After signing with the Cowboys, Turbin played in seven games and rushed 32 times for 139 yards and one touchdowns and had five catches for 15 yards.

In 58 career NFL games, he has totaled 1,127 yards on 281 carries and one touchdown. He also has 50 receptions for 450 yards and two touchdowns from 2012 to 2015 with the Cowboys, Browns and Seattle Seahawks.

Additionally, Turbin has played in eight playoff games, including Super Bowl XLVIII, and has 128 rushing yards and five catches for 50 yards.
