One day after Chris Bosh expressed that he hopes to play again this season, the Miami Heat reiterated that there is no timetable for his return.

The 11-time All-Star has been sidelined for more than a month due to a second round of blood-clot issues, and the possibility of seeing Bosh on the court isn't something that coach Erik Spoelstra is fretting about.

"We don't have any kind of timetable or anything like that," Spoelstra told reporters at a mid-day shootaround in Chicago on Friday prior to a game against the Chicago Bulls.

Bosh last played on Feb. 9 and had to pull out of the NBA All-Star Game due to the medical problem. It was first reported as a calf injury and it later became commonly referred to as an injury related to blood clots, though the Heat have repeatedly refused to clarify Bosh's situation.

Bosh said in his statement that he does not currently have blood-clot issues. He missed the final 30 games of the 2014-15 campaign due to severe clotting issues, also known as deep vein thrombosis.

"I know there have been many questions regarding my health and when I will play again," Bosh said in his statement. "My situation this year has never been life threatening. I am feeling great and currently I do not have deep vein thrombosis."

Teammate Luol Deng is less concerned about when Bosh returns to play and more worried about his quality of life.

"As a friend, you want to see him healthy," Deng said. "Basketball is just what we do. We all love to play basketball, but people forget that we have lives. He has a great family. All your teammates and all your friends, the biggest thing is their health. As long as he is getting better, that's what matters."

Miami has fared well during Bosh's absence by winning eight of 11 games. The Heat have quickened the pace and recently signed seven-time All-Star Joe Johnson to help add firepower.

So if Bosh does return, that adds another valuable weapon for a team wanting to make a deep playoff push.

Bosh certainly is holding out hope.

"Together with the Miami Heat, I am working with doctors, exploring the best precautionary treatment options and taking every necessary step to make sure I am healthy for myself, my family and my team," Bosh said in the statement. "I have been working out, training with the team, watching film of the games, walking through plays, and have attended home games despite not being visible to the public.

"I will continue to support my teammates in every way possible. I remain positive that I will be able to return this season. I truly appreciate everyone's concern and support."
