The Tennessee Titans agreed to terms on a multi-year contract with cornerback Brice McCain, who was cut by the Miami Dolphins last month.

The two-year deal has a base value of $4.4 million and a maximum worth of $5 million, The Tennessean reported Wednesday.

The 29-year-old McCain signed a free-agent contract with the Dolphins before the 2015 season. He played in 14 games (11 starts), recording a career-best 39 tackles, with one interception and 10 passes defensed.

The Dolphins voided the final year of McCain's two-year, $5.5 million deal, and releasing him cleared $2.5 million from Miami's salary cap.

The 5-foot-9, 190-pound McCain has played 100 games during his NFL career with Houston (2009-13), Pittsburgh (2014) and Miami (2015). He has nine career interceptions.

McCain played under current Titans defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau while with the Steelers.
