San Antonio Spurs lose G Manu Ginobili to groin injury

San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili will be sidelined four to six weeks after undergoing surgery for a testicular injury on Thursday.

Ginobili was injured during Wednesday's victory over New Orleans when he took a knee in the groin area from Pelicans forward Ryan Anderson.

Ginobili, 38, is averaging 10 points off the bench as one of the key cogs who have helped the Spurs get off to a 41-8 start.

Spurs center Tim Duncan (knee) is also ailing and has missed six of the past seven games.
