Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin suffered a partially torn left quadriceps tendon that will sideline him for at least two weeks.

Griffin was injured during the first quarter of a Christmas Night game against the Los Angeles Lakers but continued to play, finishing with 13 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists in 36 minutes in the Clippers' 94-84 victory.

Griffin had an MRI on Saturday and did not travel with the team to Utah for a Saturday night game against the Jazz. The Clippers said in a statement that the injury will be re-evaluated in two weeks after rest and physical therapy.

In 30 games this season, Griffin is averaging 23.2 points, 8.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists and shooting 50 percent from the field.
