Video: High school kicker makes extra point off of referee's head

MIDLAND, Texas, Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Referees of Texas high school football games cant catch a break.

Last Friday, as Midland Lee High School kicker Luis Aranda lined up for an extra point, he wasn't expecting any extra help.

But after Aranda ran up and blasted the football, it zipped over the line of scrimmage and into the face of a referee. After the ball hit the referee, the ball continued up into the crossbar and through the uprights.

Midland Lee beat El Dorado 35-16 and is 2-2 this season.
