Martin lifts Minnesota Timberwolves over Miami Heat

Kevin Martin hit the go-ahead jumper with 41 seconds remaining to lift the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 102-101 win over the Miami Heat on Wednesday night.

Martin poured in 30 points for the Timberwolves, who snapped a six-game home losing streak against the Heat. Thaddeus Young had 16 points and five steals, while Nikola Pekovic and Gorgui Dieng each scored 13 points.

Hassan Whiteside made his first 11 shots and finished with 24 points and 20 rebounds for Miami, which squandered a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter.

Luol Deng scored 18 points and Norris Cole added 15 as Miami lost for the fourth time in five games.
