Tiger Woods showed up to play a practice round at the PGA Championship on Wednesday, though it was still unclear if he will be well enough to tee it up in the season's fourth major.

Woods arrived at Valhalla Golf Club just three days after withdrawing from the Bridgestone Invitational due to a flare up of his back injury.

The four-time PGA Championship winner has until his Thursday morning tee time to make a decision on whether or not he will play. He is scheduled to tee off with Padraig Harrington and Phil Mickelson on No. 10 at 8:35 a.m. EDT.

Woods missed almost three months after having back surgery in March to fix a pinched nerve, sitting out the Masters and U.S. Open. He said after he withdrew Sunday that he "jarred" his back on a shot, causing spasms.

He has a winning history at Valhalla. He captured his second PGA Championship title on the course in 2000 and was part of the winning U.S. team at the 2008 Ryder Cup at Valhalla.

Also up in the air for Woods is a potential spot on the U.S. Ryder Cup team. American captain Tom Watson had said he will pick Woods if he's playing well.
