(SportsNetwork.com) - The Los Angeles Clippers will put their 11-game win streak on the line Monday night when they visit the Pepsi Center to take on the Denver Nuggets.
The Clippers haven't lost since Feb. 21 in Memphis. They've solidified their holding on the third seed in the Western Conference and are just three behind the San Antonio Spurs for conference supremacy.
The 11-game winning streak is the second-longest in Clippers' franchise history and matched the Spurs and Portland Trail Blazers for the longest in the NBA this season.
Blake Griffin flirted with a triple-double on his 25th birthday Sunday and his Clippers rolled to a 102-80 triumph over the Cleveland Cavaliers from Staples Center.
Griffin finished with 21 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists in the rout, with Chris Paul tallying 16 points and 15 assists and DeAndre Jordan scoring 15 to go with 11 boards. It was Griffin's 26th straight game with 20 points or more.
"We moved the ball tonight," said Paul. "A lot of unselfish plays."
Seven Clippers reached double figures in LA's 11th consecutive win. LA finished with 32 assists on 42 made field-goals.
Matt Barnes, Willie Green, Reggie Bullock and Danny Granger all registered double figures.
The Nuggets had a two-game winning streak halted on Saturday night. Denver polished off a five-game road trip through the south with a 97-92 setback to the Atlanta Hawks.
Just one night after beating the two-time defending champion Miami Heat, Denver committed 21 turnovers in the setback. The Nuggets went 2-3 on the sojourn, but are 4-3 in their last seven.
"When you play on the road, you can't turn the ball over 21 times," said Nuggets coach Brian Shaw.
Kenneth Faried scored 25 points and Wilson Chandler added 12 for the Nuggets. Ty Lawson had 11 assists and nine rebounds, but totaled just two points on 0- of-12 shooting from the field.
J.J. Hickson registered a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Evan Fournier netted 10 points.
The Nuggets trailed by as many as 21 on Saturday, but fought hard. They held the lead under two minutes to go, but the Hawks scored the game's final six points.
"Just a case of too little too late. We were real lethargic in the first half," said Shaw. "We needed to play the way we played that fourth quarter and the end of the third quarter at the start of the game."
The teams split two meetings this season with the home team prevailing in both. The Nuggets have won three straight as the host in this series.
