NHL: New York Rangers 4, Ottawa 1

OTTAWA, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Derek Stepan had a goal and two assists Saturday and the New York Rangers won for the fifth time in six games with a 4-1 victory over Ottawa.

Rick Nash notched the go-ahead goal in the second period for the Rangers, who also go goals from Brad Richards and Mats Zuccarello.

Cam Talbot made 29 saves for New York, which snapped a five-game losing streak against the Senators.

Marc Methot got Ottawa's only goal.

Craig Anderson turned aside 27-of-31 shots.
