NBA: Philadelphia 95, Charlotte 92

PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- Thaddeus Young hit a 3-point shot with 3.9 seconds to play Wednesday, boosting Philadelphia to a 95-92 victory over Charlotte.

Young's game-winning basket came after Kemba Walker had tied it for the Bobcats on a jumper with 16 seconds to go. Walker tried and failed to tie the game from the corner at the buzzer.

The 76ers ended a four-game losing streak despite turning the ball over 24 times. Philadelphia made half its shots from the field, but missed 9-of-20 free throw attempts.

Evan Turner led Philadelphia with 23 points. Michael Carter-Williams added 20 points and Spencer Hawes had 17 to go with 14 rebounds.

Young's winning 3-pointer was one of four field goals he made for the entire game in 11 shots.

Walker delivered 26 points and eight assists in what was Charlotte's fourth loss in five games.
