SHENZHEN, China, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- Vania King eliminated second-seeded Sara Errani in a lengthy three-set battle Wednesday at the WTA's Shenzhen Open in China.
King edged Errani 2-6, 6-6 (9-7), 6-3 in a second-round match that took 2 hours, 41 minutes to complete. Errani actually won more points (115-113) but that was because of an advantage built up in the first set.
