CALGARY, Alberta, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Eddie Lack, subbing for the injured Roberto Luongo, logged an 18-save shutout Sunday, hoisting the surging Vancouver Canucks over Calgary 2-0.
The rookie goaltender notched his second career whitewash as Vancouver improved to 10-1-1 in December.

Luongo is listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury.
Mike Santorelli and Jannik Hansen each scored for the Canucks.
Reto Berra stopped 28-of-30 shots for Calgary, losers of six in seven.
