NHL: Montreal 4, New York Islanders 2

MONTREAL, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Alex Galchenyuk and Lars Eller each had a goal and two assists Sunday, helping Montreal end a four-game skid with a 4-2 win over the New York Islanders.

Galchenyuk assisted on two of the Canadiens' three second-period goals as they built a 3-1 lead and added a goal of his own in the final period.

Brendan Gallagher and Eller each scored on set-ups from Galchenyuk and Michael Bournival added a power-play goal with 56 seconds left in the second period, putting the Habs in control.

Gallagher also had an assist and Carey Price made 24 saves as Canadiens Coach Michel Therrien notched his 250th career victory.

Pierre-Marc Bouchard and Brock Nelson each scored and John Tavares supplied two assists for the Islanders, who wrapped up a winless four-game road trip.

Kevin Poulin made 27 saves for New York.
