Chicago began the game with the second largest-goal total in the NHL and produced plenty of offense against Winnipeg goaltender Al Montoya.

Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane scored in the latter stages of the first period, Brandon Pirri delivered the only goal of the second and Patrick Shark scored in the third.

Crawford lost his shutout bid when Devin Setoguchi tallied 8:40 into the final stanza.

Montoya gave up all four goals on 28 shots.
