LOS ANGELES, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- T.J. Brodie's power-play goal with 29.7 seconds left in the game Monday lifted the Calgary Flames to a 3-2 win over the Los Angeles Kings.
With the game tied 2-2 late in the final period, the Kings' Azne Kopitar was whistled for hooking Calgary's Dennis Widemen, giving the Flames a man-advantage.
After working the puck down low, Jiri Hudler sent a long pass into the high slot, where Brodie was waiting to one-time it past LA goalie Jonathan Quick for the decisive tally.
Mike Cammalleri and Sean Monahan also each netted a power-play goal for the Flames, who improved to 1-2-0 on a five-game road trip.
Karri Ramo stopped 27 shots in the victory.
Drew Doughty and Jeff Carter each found the net and Quick ended with 22 saves for the Kings.
