HOUSTON, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Andy Tanner hauled down a pair of TD passes Sunday and the New Orleans Saints stayed unbeaten in the pre-season with a 31-23 win over Houston.
Drew Brees played sparingly, connecting on 4-of-6 passes for 104 yards and a touchdown, while backup Luke McCown went 10-of-14 through the air for 118 yards.

McCown fired a pair of touchdowns, including a go-ahead 14-yard strike to Kenny Stills late in the second quarter.
The Texans' Matt Schaub completed 15-of-26 attempts for 213 yards while playing the entire first half.
Ben Tate filled in for the injured Arian Foster and ran for 74 yards on 11 carries with a touchdown.
Andre Johnson caught seven passes for 131 yards for Houston.
