MLS: Columbus 2,Toronto FC 0

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Federico Higuain scored in both halves Saturday, carrying the Columbus Crew to a 2-0 triumph over Toronto FC.

Higuain gave the Crew all the scoring they'd need in the 18th minute when he tallied on the rebound of a deflected shot by Bernardo Anor.

Then in the 67th minute, he doubled the advantage with a chip shot over Toronto goalkeeper Joe Bendik for his fourth goal in two games as Columbus (8-11-5) took the Trillium Cup for the fifth time in six years.

Toronto (4-12-8) mustered just two shots on target.
