FOXBOROUGH, Mass., Aug. 4 (UPI) -- Matias Laba scored the game's only goal in the 2nd minute Sunday and Toronto FC held on to register a 1-0 victory over New England.
Laba stole the ball in his own zone and came down the right flank, faking defender Stephen McCarthy before being challenged by goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth, who dove to block the advance.

But Laba corralled the rebound and used a right foot to send it into an open net, giving TFC (4-10-8) only its fourth win of the year but second straight.
The Revolution (8-8-6) fell into sixth place in the Eastern Conference.
