FOXBOROUGH, Mass., July 27 (UPI) -- Tim Tebow ran some plays at receiver at the New England Patriots training camp but neither he nor the team said whether he would play much at the position.

Tebow took some snaps with Patriots quarterbacks at Friday's session but also ran patterns with the team's receivers and running backs, raising some new possibilities about where he would fit in this season.

Patriots Coach Bill Belichick told reporters there was no set plan for Tebow, who signed with the team in the off season.

"I think we'll use Tim where ever we feel like is best for the team," Belichick said. "I know that's what he's committed to doing as well, whatever that is."

Tebow was on the same page as Belichick, telling the media, "I'm just doing what I'm asked."

Tebow, who won the Heisman Trophy as a quarterback for Florida, is seen as unlikely to get much playing time behind incumbent starter Tom Brady and backup Ryan Mallett. At the same time, however, he said he had been spending all of his time studying plays with the quarterbacks, Bleacher Report said.

USA Today said Tebow looked better Friday as a receiver than a quarterback, where he had two passes intercepted -- one by a defensive lineman.
