MLB: Atlanta 3, Arizona 0

ATLANTA, June 28 (UPI) -- Julio Teheran struck out 10 over six innings Friday and combined with three relievers on a four-hitter that carried Atlanta to a 3-0 blanking of Arizona.

Andrelton Simmons hit a solo homer in an 11-hit attack that gave the Braves their third win in four games.

Teheran (6-4) gave up all four Arizona hits and walked one. Craig Kimbrel worked around a one-out walk in the ninth for his 23rd save.

Jason Heyward reached on a double in the second and scored the game's first run on a single by Justin Upton.

Simmons hit his home run in the fifth and the Braves tacked on a run in the eighth when Dan Uggla tripled to open the inning and eventually came in on a squeeze bunt by pinch-hitter Reed Johnson.

Randall Delgado (0-2) was charged with the loss, giving up just two runs on eight hits in six innings.
