DENVER, June 8 (UPI) -- Eric Stults stymied Colorado Saturday, limiting the Rockies to one earned run over seven innings, and Kyle Blanks slammed a homer in San Diego's 4-2 win.
Stults (5-5) broke a personal three-start winless streak with the performance, in which he surrendered two runs overall on seven hits. The left-hander didn't allow a walk and struck out four.
Dale Thayer tossed a scoreless eighth inning and Luke Gregerson picked up his second save despite yielding a walk and a hit in the ninth as the Padres took a second win in three games at Coors Field.
Blanks' two-run shot in the fourth broke a 1-1 tie and Everth Cabrera went 3-for-4 with an RBI double for the Padres.
Colorado's Jeff Francis (2-4), making his first start since spending three weeks on the disabled list, was touched for four runs on six hits over four full frames.
Tyler Colvin got the Rockies' only RBI.
