CHICAGO, May 25 (UPI) -- Chicago's Andrew Shaw scored twice Saturday and the Blackhawks staved off post-season elimination with a 4-1 victory over Detroit.
Shaw's first goal with 6:42 left in the second period snapped a 1-1 tie and he capped the scoring with a third-period score for the Blackhawks, who came into the contest trailing 3-1 in their Western Conference semifinal series.

Jonathan Toews and Bryan Bickell also tallied as top-seeded Chicago rebounded from three straight losses to keep its season alive.
Corey Crawford turned aside 25-of-26 shots for Chicago.
Daniel Cleary scored and Jimmy Howard made 41 saves for the seventh-seeded Red Wings, who will again attempt to wrap up the series at home in Monday's Game 6.
