MLB: Oakland 11, Houston 5

HOUSTON, May 25 (UPI) -- Josh Donaldson went 4-for-4 with a homer and two RBI Saturday, igniting an 18-hit assault that carried the Oakland Athletics over Houston 11-5.

Chris Young added three hits, including a two-run double, while Coco Crisp and Seth Smith each provided a trio of hits and an RBI for the A's, who reeled off a seventh win in eight games.

Brandon Moss socked a solo homer and Eric Sogard delivered a run-scoring single during a six-run second inning that broke the game open.

A.J. Griffin (5-3) went 5 2/3 innings to gain the victory, allowing four runs on five hits while walking one and striking out seven.

Astros starter Lucas Harrell (3-6) was bombed for six runs on six hits in a 1 2/3-inning effort.

Jason Castro went 3-for-4 with two solo homers and three RBI, while Matt Dominguez added bases-empty homers of his own for Houston.
