MLB: Tampa Bay 10, Baltimore 6

BALTIMORE, May 18 (UPI) -- Matt Joyce's go-ahead, two-run double ignited a six-run rally in the ninth inning that carried the Tampa Bay Rays over Baltimore 10-6 Saturday.

Trailing 6-4 entering the ninth, the Rays erupted for a comeback against Orioles closer Jim Johnson (1-4).

Kelly Johnson started the rally with a one-out solo homer, and Tampa Bay then loaded the bases when Jose Labaton and Yunel Escobar each drew a walk and Desmond Jennings singled.

That brought up Joyce, who punched a hit into right, scoring Lobaton and Escobar with the decisive runs.

Ben Zobrist added a two-run double and Luke Scott drew a bases-loaded walk to cap the rally, which enabled the Rays to clinch their three-game series.

Joyce also homered, finishing 3-for-5 with five RBI in the victory.

Alex Torres (1-0) earned the decision with four innings of scoreless relief.

Adam Jones smacked a two-run homer en route to three RBI, Chris Davis also went deep and Nick Markakis went 3-for-5 with a run batted in for Baltimore, which dropped a fourth straight.
