MLB: Texas 10, Chicago White Sox 6

ARLINGTON, Texas, May 1 (UPI) -- Adrian Beltre bashed a two-run homer Tuesday, capping a big sixth inning that carried the Texas Rangers over the Chicago White Sox 10-6.

Beltre's blast highlighted a six-run inning that broke open a 4-4 game and propelled the Rangers to a victory in the opener of a three-game home series.

Jeff Baker and Nelson Cruz each contributed a solo shot and Mitch Moreland went 3-for-3 with an RBI for Texas, which banged out 12 hits en route to the victory.

Yu Darvish (5-1) got the win despite allowing four runs on seven hits over six innings. The right-hander yielded three walks while striking out nine.

Chicago's Matt Lindstrom (1-2) was saddled with the loss in relief of starter Jose Quintana, who was touched for four runs on eight hits over five full frames.

Dewayne Wise went 4-for-4 with a two-run homer and Adam Dunn also went deep for the White Sox.
