MLB: Miami 4, New York Mets 3 (15 innings)

MIAMI, April 30 (UPI) -- Nick Green's sacrifice fly sent home Justin Ruggiano with the game-winning run in the 15th inning Monday, rallying Miami over the New York Mets 4-3.

The Mets had taken a 3-2 lead in the top of the 15th when Lucas Duda doubled off Jon Rauch (1-2) with one out and later came around to score on Ruben Tejada's infield hit.

But the Marlins responded against Shaun Marcum (0-2) in the next half inning.

Greg Dobbs singled with one out, went to second on Ruggiano's walk and came across with the tying run on Rob Brantly's single.

Ruggiano took third on the play and scored the game-winner on Green's fly ball to left, handing the Marlins a second consecutive win for the first time this season.

Green also delivered a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth to forge a tie for Miami, which won the marathon opener of a three-game home series.
