NHL: New York Rangers 6, Pittsburgh 1

NEW YORK, April 3 (UPI) -- Ryane Clowe and Derrick Brassard combined for three goals in their New York debut Wednesday, powering the Rangers to a 6-1 win over Pittsburgh.

After winning 15 consecutive games, the Penguins have lost two in a row. The Rangers have won back-to-back games.

Clowe had two goals and an assist one day after coming to the Rangers in a trade with San Jose. Brassard produced a goal and four assists following a deal between the Rangers and Columbus.

Brian Boyle touched off a three-goal first period and Henrik Lundqvist stopped 26-of-27 shots for the Rangers.

Marc-Andre Fleury made 33 saves in taking the loss.
