NHL: Chicago 3, St. Louis 2

CHICAGO, Jan. 23 (UPI) -- Viktor Salberg scored early in the third period to give the Chicago Blackhawks the cushion they needed to fend off St. Louis 3-2 Tuesday.

Salberg beat Brian Elliot from the faceoff circle despite close coverage from the Blues defense to give the Blackhawks a 3-0 and keep Chicago undefeated after three games.
