GREENSBORO, N.C., Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Sergio Garcia forged a one-stroke lead at the Wyndham Championship Saturday, registering a 4-under-par 66 in the third round at Sedgefield Country Club.
Spain's Garcia finished the day 14-under 196, good for a one-shot advantage over Bud Cauley and Tim Clark as he sought his first PGA Tour victory since 2008.
Cauley also fired a 66, while Clark carded a 67 to share second place at minus-13.
Making the biggest move of the day was Jason Dufner, who fired a 7-under 63 to gain a fourth-place tie at minus-12 along with Carl Pettersson and Harris English, each of whom shot 68s Saturday.
Sharing seventh at 11-under 199 were U.S. Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III (66), Matt Every (68) and second-round leader Jimmy Walker (71).
