MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers 6, Colorado 4

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- Matt Kemp's three-run homer in the first inning Wednesday got the Los Angeles Dodgers on the road to a 6-4 triumph over the visiting Colorado Rockies.

Kemp went 3-for-4 in the game and Shane Victorino also had three hits and scored a trio of runs for the Dodgers, who wrapped up a 4-5 homestand and remained 1 1/2 games behind first-place San Francisco in the National League West.

Hanley Ramirez drew a bases-loaded walk in the fifth inning off Carlos Torres (1-1) that put Los Angeles in the lead for good.

Chad Billingsley (8-9) allowed four runs on seven hits and struck out five over 6 1/3 innings while winning his fourth consecutive start.

Colorado's D.J. LeMahieu drove in a score-tying run with a single in the fourth inning. Eric Young led off the game with an inside the park home run.
