Olympic Medal: M Eights Rowing

LONDON, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- Germany won the Olympic gold medal Wednesday in the men's eights rowing competition.

Canada received the silver medal and the bronze went to Britain.

For the second time in the three finals held at the rowing venue Wednesday, Britain edged the United States for the bronze medal. The Americans finished 0.3 second behind in fourth place.
