Olympic Medal: W Quadruple Sculls Rowing

LONDON, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- Ukraine won the Olympic gold medal Wednesday in women's quadruple sculls rowing.

The silver medal was awarded to Germany and the United States took the bronze. The Americans held on to edge the hard charging British boat by a second in the 2,000-meter race.
