Olympic Medal: M 81 kg Judo

LONDON, July 31 (UPI) -- Jae-Bum Kim of South Korea won the Olympic gold medal Tuesday in the 81-kilogram class of men's judo.

Defending Olympic champion Ole Bischof of Germany took the silver. Bronze medals were won by Ivan Nifontov of Russia and Antoine Valois-Fortier of Canada.

American Travis Stephens reached the semifinals but lost to Bischof and also fell to Valois-Fortier in one of the bronze-medal bouts.
