LONDON, June 13 (UPI) -- Defending champion Andy Murray was one of three top seeds beaten Wednesday at the AEGON Championships tennis tournament in London.
Murray, the No. 1 seed in addition to having won the tournament last year, dropped a 3-6, 6-7 (4-7), 7-6 (7-1) second-round decision to Nicolas Mahut over 2 1/2 hours. Mahut had 13 aces on the day. Each player lost serve once in the final set with Mahut holding on in the tiebreaker.
