French Open men's final suspended by rain

PARIS, June 10 (UPI) -- Officials suspended the men's final of the French Open Sunday after persistant rain in Paris.

Rafael Nadal was ahead of Novak Djokovic 6-4, 6-3, 2-6, 1-2 in the fourth set when play was called due to worsening court conditions and approaching darkness.

The pair had also waited through an earlier 35-minute rain delay.

The final was set to resume at 7 a.m. (edt).
