Radwanska, Halep advance to Brussels final

BRUSSELS, May 25 (UPI) -- World No. 3 Agnieszka Radwanska and Simona Halep won their matches Friday and will meet Saturday in the final at the Brussels Open.

Radwanska, the No. 1 seed, eliminated eighth-seeded Kaia Kanepi 7-6 (10-8), 6-3 in 1 hour, 51 minutes, while Halep dispatched Sofia Arvidsson 6-4, 6-3.

Radwanska is 9-2 in her previous WTA finals. Halep is 0-2, having lost in 2010 and 2011 at Fes, Morocco,

Radwanska beat Halep at the Australian Open last year in the only career meeting between the two Brussels finalists.
