MLB: Texas 13, Los Angeles Angels 5

ARLINGTON, Texas, May 13 (UPI) -- Nelson Cruz went 4-for-5 with a grand slam, leading a 19-hit attack Sunday that powered the Texas Rangers' 13-5 win over the Los Angeles Angels.

The Cruz blast, a line drive that stayed just fair down the left field line, came in the third inning and put the Rangers ahead 6-2.

Josh Hamilton knocked in three runs with two hits, Elvis Andrus went 4-for-5 with a run-scoring single Adrian Beltre added two RBI for the American League West-leading Rangers, who won two out of three in the series.

Neftali Feliz (3-1) earned the victory, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks in six innings. He struck out five.

Angels starter Jered Weaver (5-1) was saddled with his first loss of the year, lasting just 3 1/3 innings. He was rocked for eight runs on 10 hits.

Mark Trumbo went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer, while Vernon Wells and Kendrys Morales also went deep for Los Angeles.
