MLB: Pittsburgh 3, Cincinnati 2

PITTSBURGH, May 5 (UPI) -- James McDonald held the Reds to one run over 6 1/3 innings and Neil Walker cracked a two-run homer Saturday in Pittsburgh's 3-2 win over Cincinnati.

McDonald (2-1) yielded six hits, walked two and struck out seven to win his second straight start for the Pirates.

Juan Cruz and Jason Grilli combined for 1 2/3 scoreless frames of relief and Joel Hanrahan tossed a 1-2-3 ninth for his fifth save as Pittsburgh evened its three-game series at PNC Park.

Walker's homer in the third inning broke a scoreless tie and Alex Presley added a solo shot in the seventh for the Bucs.

Mike Leake (0-4) remained winless for Cincinnati, surrendering three runs on four hits in a seven-inning start.

Zack Cozart and Scott Rolen provided RBI in the Reds' loss.
