Chicago is looking to clinch the East's No. 1 seed after seeing their lead over the Heat dwindle during the past two months as Rose was hampered by a series of injuries.

The Mavericks, tied with Denver for the sixth seed in the Western Conference, were led by Dirk Nowitzki with 17 points.

Jason Terry and Jason Kidd were rested in the second game of back-to-back contests for the Mavs.
