MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers 4, Milwaukee 3

MILWAUKEE, April 19 (UPI) -- Matt Kemp hit his major-league leading seventh home run Thursday in helping the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 4-3 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers.

Kemp also singled and scored a run in the third inning. He went down to get a low pitch from Milwaukee starter Randy Wolf and drove it the opposite way over the right-field wall for a fifth-inning home run.

That made a winner of Aaron Harang (1-1), who gave up all three runs and eight hits the Brewers managed Thursday. He walked one and struck out four in six innings.

Javy Guerra struck out two in the ninth while getting his sixth save.

Wolf (0-2) was changed with four runs and seven hits in 6 innings.

Andre Ethier doubled and scored on a Matt Treanor sacrifice fly to give the Dodgers a 1-0 lead in the second. The Brewers had three consecutive hits and a sacrifice fly, with Travis Ishikawa getting one RBI and Wolf another for a 2-1 lead.

Mark Ellis, Kemp, Juan Rivera and Ethier had consecutive singles for two Los Angeles runs in the third inning. Kemp made the score 4-2 in the fifth with his home run.

Ishikawa singled in another run for Milwaukee in the sixth.
