NBA: Phoenix 125, Portland 107

PHOENIX, April 17 (UPI) -- Marcin Gortat scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Phoenix Monday, helping boost the Suns into playoff position with a 125-107 win over Portland.

Channing Frye added 19 points, Jared Dudley put in 18 and Shannon Brown supplied 16 for the Suns, who pulled into a tie with Houston for the eighth and final Western Conference post-season seed following the Rockets' loss to Denver earlier Monday.

Markieff Morris chipped in with 14 points and six rebounds while Steve Nash distributed 13 assists for the Suns.

J.J. Hickson and Jamal Crawford each scored 22 points for the Trail Blazers, who were technically eliminated from playoff contention with their third straight loss.
