MLB: Boston 6, Tampa Bay 4

BOSTON, April 15 (UPI) -- David Ortiz drove in the go-ahead run with a sixth-inning double Sunday, powering Boston to a 6-4 victory over Tampa Bay.

With the score tied 4-4, Kevin Youklis drew a one-out walk from Mike Moore (0-1) and Ortiz followed by drilling a pitch off the center field wall as Youklis slid home safely.

Mike Aviles added a solo homer in the next frame to insure the victory for the Red Sox, who also got a three-run blast from Cody Ross en route to their third straight win over the Rays.

Vicente Padilla (1-0) earned the victory with 1 2/3 frames of scoreless relief and Alfredo Aceves notched his second save with a 1-2-3 ninth.

Carlos Pena smacked a two-run double and Luke Scott added a solo homer for Tampa Bay.

Moore, making his first start of the season, was lit up for six runs on eight hits over 6 1/3 innings.
