Top 10 players for U.S. in Davis Cup

ROQUEBRUNE, France, March 27 (UPI) -- Top 10 players Mardy Fish and John Isner and world No. 1 doubles players Bob and Mike Bryan will play for the United States in a Davis Cup series versus France.

Fish, ranked eighth in the world, and Isner, who recently reached his to-date career high of 10th in the rankings, will play singles for captain Jim Courier. The twin Bryan brothers will handle the doubles match.

The best-of-five Davis Cup quarterfinal is April 6-8 in Roquebrune, France. The French have opted to play on a clay court at the Monte Carlo Country Club.

The French team includes No. 6-ranked Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and 14th-ranked Gael Monfils for singles with doubles specialists Julien Benneteau and Michael Llodra taking on the Bryans in doubles.

The U.S.-French winner moves into the Davis Cup semifinals against either Austria or defending champion Spain. In the other Davis Cup quarterfinals next week, Serbia plays at the Czech Republic while Croatia is at Argentina.
