NBA: Miami 84, Philadelphia 78

PHILADELPHIA, March 16 (UPI) -- LeBron James staked Miami to a giant lead Friday and the Heat held on despite scoring just 27 points in the second half to defeat Philadelphia 84-78.

Miami had a 29-point advantage in the second half but the 76ers twice closed the deficit to four before falling short.

Miami won its first road game in five tries.

James scored 29 points and added eight assists and seven rebounds. Dwyane Wade contributed 12 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. It was Miami's 10th straight regular-season victory over Philadelphia.

Evan Turner scored 12 points for the 76ers, who have dropped back-to-back games after winning three in a row.

Miami shot 54 percent from the field in the first half, and then cooled off to finish at 47 percent.
