NEW YORK, March 9 (UPI) -- The NBA announced Friday the Orlando Magic's Hedo Turkoglu had been suspended for one game because he made physical contact with a game official.

The incident came Thursday in the fourth quarter of Orlando's comeback victory over the Chicago Bulls.

Turkoglu's attempted layup was blocked by Joakim Noah and Turkoglu argued that a foul should have been called. He put his hands on the shoulders of referee Karl Lane while pleading his case and received a technical foul for the contact.

Turkoglu is averaging 11.2 points and 4.7 assists a game this season. He will miss Orlando's meeting with Indiana Sunday.
