NBA: Detroit 89, New Orleans 87

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Greg Monroe provided a double threat for the Pistons Saturday, scoring 24 points and grabbing 16 rebounds in Detroit's 89-87 win over New Orleans.

Rodney Stuckey added 17 points, while Tayshaun Prince and Jonas Jerebko contributed 11 each as the Pistons continued their rebound from a seven-game skid with their second straight win.

The Hornets, meanwhile, continued to struggle on the road, dropping their sixth straight away from home.

Trevor Ariza led New Orleans with 26 points.

Greivis Vasquez donated 14 points and nine assists for the losers.
