LOS ANGELES, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Kevin Love's 3-pointer as time expired capped a Minnesota comeback and gave the Timberwolves a 101-98 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Down 98-94 with less than a minute to play, the Timberwolves ran off 4 points -- all by Ricky Rubio -- to tie the score with 20 seconds left. Rubio connected from the foul and tied the score with a 3-pointer.
The Clippers had a chance to take the lead back but Chauncey Billups missed a layup under pressure from Rubio. Love got off the winning 3-pointer from the top of the key as time ran out.
Love had 17 points and 14 boards, while Darko Milicic finished with 22 points and seven rebounds for Minnesota, which has won three straight and four of its last five. Rubio had nine points on 1-for-11 shooting.
Mo Williams led all scorers with 25 points for the Clippers, who have lost two of their last three and have gone four straight without an injured Chris Paul.
Williams was ejected 6:28 in the fourth quarter after picking up his second technical foul of the game.
