NBA: Los Angeles Lakers 73, Dallas 70

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Derek Fisher hit a three-point shot with 3.1 seconds to play and the Los Angeles Lakers survived a 7-point third quarter Monday to beat Dallas 73-70.

The Mavericks' winning streak ended at five games after Vince Carter missed on a three at the buzzer.

Fisher scored nine of the Lakers' final 13 points. Andrew Bynum led the Lakers with 17 points and 15 rebounds and Kobe Bryant scored 14 on 7-of-22 shooting for the Lakers, who have won six of their last seven.

Former Laker Lamar Odom got a standing ovation in his first appearance in LA since being traded to defending champion Dallas. Odom came off the bench to score 10 for Dallas.
